Rookie Vikings RB, Adrian Peterson, was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year on Wednesday.  Peterson finished among the league leaders in most rushing stats despite missing two regular season games (2nd in rush yards, 2nd in rush TD and 2nd in yards per carry). He also set the single season mark for rushing yards in a game (296) in 2007…imagine if he had been the starter for a full season.

Rookie running back, Adrian Peterson, scored two second half touchdowns to lead the Minnesota Vikings to victory. They defeated the Chicago Bears 20-13 Sunday night. The Vikings improved to 8-6 and won their fifth game in a row.

The Vikings are still alive in the NFC Wildcard hunt. With the win on Sunday, they eliminated the Bears, Cardinals, Eagles and Lions from the playoff picture.

The Vikings will head to Washington to play the Redskins on December 23.
